This game is known in the US as "Great 1000 Miles Rally 2 USA".
Based on a race that took place in Italy from Brescia to Rome and was held yearly between 1927-1938 and 1945-1957 called the '1000 Miglia'.
The car/track select screen uses a sample from the US Olympic TV theme.
