Son of Submarine © 1977 1001001, Inc.
A game inspired by Submarine!. The player is still chasing a submarine in a 100x100 grid. The player can fire depth charges after which the submarine moves. The player is told the distance towards the new location, which can be anywhere in the 100x100 grid or beyond it (but only up or to the right). The player needs to perform a direct hit to destroy the submarine. When hitting within five tiles the submarine receives a minor hit. After five minor hits the submarine has a large speed burst and repairs. The submarine can make various chess-piece moves (and some derived moves) which allow the player to use some probability to determine the location.
Released in November 1977.
