Top Speed was released in October 1987. Licensed to Romstar for US manufacture and distribution.
Top Speed removes territorial notice. Both US and world roms have no warning before the game. Also, Full Throttle is replaced by Top Speed before staff roll (line: Full Throttle is over!).
A Top Speed unit appears in the 1989 movie "The Wizard" (though it was erroneously referred to as Capcom's "F-1 Dream" in the movie).
