Gomola Speed © 1990 UPL Company, Limited.
Gomola Speed is an usual action/puzzle game by UPL. The player takes control of a segmented and worm-looking mechanical robot called Go-omu. The world is divided into areas and the goal of the game is to collect all the food and reveal the hidden exit. However, our Go-omu starts as... a head. The first task will be to collect its other dispersed body segments and increase its overall length. Other creatures are also enclosed within each stage and will cut your body loose if they hit any of your segments. No worries, those parts will just wonder around and can be recaptured. Go-omu's body length is very important and is at the core of Gomola's speed design. Items, and especially food, can be collected only if you surround them with your long body, and enemies can be defeated using the same technique (you will have to freeze them with a bomb first though). All in all, only your head is vulnerable, so make sure you keep it out of reach. As mentioned, Go-omu can also drop bombs which will paralyze your enemies for a few seconds. Stage designs are varied and new features are constantly added to the mix, without forgetting a password feature allowing players to save their progress.
