This game is known is North America as 'Axe of Rage'.
Like its predecessor the game's cover inlay features Maria Whittaker (Page 3 Model from The Sun) and Michael van Wijk (Wolf from UK Gladiators), in an attempt to repeat boosted sales caused by the cover's controversy. Barbarian II proved to be less popular than the predecessor however.
